Loving Today

Hi, loves! I can't believe I left that last gloomy post up for so long! Y'all were so wonderfully encouraging and sweet. Thanks for making me smile.

I'm sure you'll be glad to know that my post today is a lot more cheerful! I've had a wonderful day so I wanted to share some of the things that are making me smile today.

-- The gorgeous purple and gold (aka LSU!) mums I found. Today is the first LSU football game of the season so I thought they were pretty appropriate.

-- The little teal bird I found in a local bookstore while shopping for my niece's birthday present. It was only $7! More than worth it for such a cute little guy (or gal, maybe).

-- These cupcakes. I only wish I could say I made them!

-- Finally getting the TV in our room hooked up (we bought it like 2 1/2 months ago!) and the DVR set up. I'm so excited about this, I thought it deserved a tweet and a mention here.

-- This shelf we found for the TV. It's hard to see in the picture but it has a kind of rustic feel and it's a gorgeous blue/green color. And with the baskets, it's a perfect place to store the DVDs we can't fit in the entertainment center in the living room. (And I finally have a good spot for my Friends collection!)



-- My first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season! Yum.

-- The $150 lamp I found for $25 at Tuesday Morning! That place is so hit-or-miss but I got lucky today. The lamp is gonna be perfect in my new office. I'll have to show y'all pics when I get it all set up. Did I mention we just moved into our new multi-million dollar building? Yeah, kinda cool.

(And a much needed little boost to my job satisfaction since I work for the state and haven't had a raise in years!)

-- My BFF coming over later with her brand-new hubby to watch the game

-- Blogging! As soon as I post this, I'm gonna go catch up on as many of your posts as I can.

So basically, this day couldn't be much more perfect. I hope each of you are having an amazing day too!
